About

I am a psychiatrist who deeply believes in the importance of quality of life. Living with a healthy quality of life seems simple but, in reality, is very challenging. Given the complex nature of romantic relationships, family and friend relationships, work stress, vocational aspirations, financial stress, life changes, decision-making, choices, and life transitions, just to name a few examples, difficult emotions seem only natural. Such emotions can include anxiety, sadness, dissatisfaction, anger, regret, rage, loneliness, boredom, irritability, frustration, and disappointment.

As a psychiatrist, my approach involves listening to you and developing a rapport with you that will allow us a deeper understanding of your struggles and feelings. By talking together about whatever may be on your mind, we can therapeutically explore, across sessions, the more underlying issues that are affecting these current struggles and feelings. I truly believe that the more insight one can gain, the better one’s quality of life will be.

I am naturally an empathic person, and having studied, trained, and graduated from Harvard, Yale, and Cornell, I am a dedicated psychiatrist who desires to, and is trained to, help you gain this crucial insight. Whether through talk therapy, medication management, cognitive-behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy, or a unique combination of some of these modalities, I treat a wide variety of symptoms and conditions, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, personality issues, substance use, schizophrenia, sleeping issues, fatigue, romantic and sexual issues, abuse, dissociative disorders, trauma, and difficulties with adjustment, to name several.

I offer comprehensive psychiatric assessments, consultations, ongoing medication management appointments, and ongoing psychotherapy.
